WELS Memorial Day Retreat & Fishing Tournament

This weekend, from May 28-31 has been reserved for WELS/ELS families to come to Camp Shiloh for some relaxation, fun and devotions.  We will have some organized activities from board games to athletic contests.  Each day there will be a potluck at noon in the pavilion.  Other meals will be on your own.  Each day you will be able to purchase ala carte cereal, fruit, milk and coffee from 7:30 – 9:00.  All housing rates are reduced by 35% for this event, and supporters will still receive an additional 15% discount.   The fishing tournament will be open to everyone in attendance, but there will be two categories of entries and all Texas state fishing laws are to be followed.  There will a specific day and time framework for the tournament.  Tentatively it will be Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  For the “serious” fishermen or fisherwomen who would like to try for the prizes, the entry fee will be $10 per person.  There will be 2 cash awards, each equal to 30% of the entry fees paid.  All entrants will receive a certificate of participation.  The 2 categories are 1) the most fish caught, and 2) the largest fish caught.  For the “just for fun” fishermen and fisherwomen, the entry fee is $2 and each entrant will receive a certificate and a small prize.
