It has been too long since we have seen our family – coming up to 2 years! It has been too long since you have gotten an update from Camp Shiloh – several months!
But now we have scheduled a time to see our family, AND the Camp Shiloh Lutheran Retreat email newsletter IS BACK!
Over these past months God has well provided for Camp Shiloh.The 2009 summer camps had the highest total number of campers that we have seen for quite some time – praise God!The number of people who have made use of Camp Shiloh has hit new heights – praise God!Many volunteers have been at Camp Shiloh to do lots of tasks – praise God!Many projects have been accomplished or are in the works right now: the bunks in the dorms have been upgraded; new benches outside the dining hall from which to view the lake; improved lighting in the conference center makes reading so much easier for retreats; many pine trees have been transplanted to beautiful the camp; cabins repairs have been done to fix damage done by woodpeckers; a new storage shed is being erected; a boating dock is being readied for installation; a commercial dishwasher has been purchased and installed in the dining hall; and more – praise God!
Now is the time to make your plans for attending some of the retreats or camps or other events, or to just spend time with your family contemplating the goodness of our God.Check the website for details on coming events.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Board has approved a new process for awarding “camperships” for our summer camps.The new required application form can be downloaded from our website.If you have questions, don’t hesitate to call the office.
